My first purchase !

So iv'e made my first purchase towards astronomy !

Nothing too exciting, just some Celestron binoculars from FLO. So at the soonest non cloudy night i'm going to try and learn where things are while i save for my telescope.

Any suggestions on objects i should try and see that look fairly good threw binoculars ?

Yea i already have Stellarium its an awesome piece of software but i was just wondering if anyone knew of any good objects from experience with binoculars

You could do worse than visit the Binocular Sky (maintained by a member of SGL).

This has lists of binocular objects, includes an object of the month and a monthly newsletter.

There is also an Observing with Binoculars section on SGL. This includes a sticky on binocular observing links...

Pleiades is always nice in Bino's, M42 as well, both are just lovely at lower magnifications

well done lewis most people go for a scope first and then struggle to find anything in narrow field of view plus it might not be the hobby they like and have just wasted £££££. dont think that your missing out with just bins as nearly everyone has a pair on here..some have more than one! there also good to take on hol's where the sky may be less polluted:icon_salut:
