Stiffening a plastic tripod adapter

Hi guys

Found this site yesterday while looking for binocular recomendations and remember seeing some reference to modifying the plastic tripod adpater that has come with my Celestron 15x70 binos (next day, ordered at 4pm, impressed:) ). I didn't think I'd need it but after trying them out on the tripod I can see how flexible the adapter is.

What's the mod? Is it something about jamming a screw in somewhere?

Any help very gratefuly appreciated.

Daz :)

Thanks :-)
