strange object in the sky last night.

Did anyone see the object last night?

At around 9.20pm last night, just south of Salisbury I saw a very large, bright orange spherical object travel from direct East to West.

Too fast to be a high altitude aircraft, no flashing lights,

No sound to be a low flying aircraft.

Too slow to be something burning up in the atmosphere.

In all the years I’ve been stargazing I’ve never seen something like it.

It almost reminded me of an air balloon at night but it travelled so fast.

I managed to view it through my unattached viewfinder but saw no real detail.

It then reapeared a few minutes later, starting from the same direction.

I’m just intrigued.

You may well find they were chinese lanterns - they just seem to float through the air - particularly as you say a second one came from the same place

I think you guys are right, well that's a first for me, lol. I thought I was going to have to give my wife and kids up for Alien abduction.
