Ant Posted March 27, 2012 Share Posted March 27, 2012 If you have one shot, then you'll need Photoshop or Gimp (free) to process the image. DSS is used as stacking software, you open up multiple frames (subs) of the same object and it uses various methods of improving the signal to noise ratio (noise is random, signal isn't). You can also add in flats, bias and darks to help improve the output file. You'll then need Photoshop or GIMP to process the DSS output file.
