Good morning all

I spenT and hour or so last night with a mate trying to get a good shot of M51, I think we have got the shot we wanted which is great! im one happy man! haha But I wanted to know what sort of software I can load this pic into in order to process it a little? ie add some flats and such?

If you have one shot, then you'll need Photoshop or Gimp (free) to process the image.

DSS is used as stacking software, you open up multiple frames (subs) of the same object and it uses various methods of improving the signal to noise ratio (noise is random, signal isn't). You can also add in flats, bias and darks to help improve the output file.

You'll then need Photoshop or GIMP to process the DSS output file. You can post process in DSS, but personally I do not like to use it for that.
