Dewed up, but got North American Nebula and Milky Way

was out earlier and got a few objects but found the moon was still affecting DSOs. So, went to bed and got up at 4am. When I went back out, found dew was just beginning to ruin the primary. Just then noticed the Milky Way was nice and clear. Got out the bins and began to scan , just beautiful! Hunted the North American Neb and think I just about got it., held up the UHC filter up to my naked eye and am pretty sure I saw it., Finally!. So delighted with myself, sad to find scope Dewed up, what a compensation!

Must go to bed for another hour.

You cannot beat the NA neb with the naked eye.

You know your sites a good-un when you see it.

Was having difficulty with getting it through scope . I think it was on another thread where you suggested using the UHC up to your eye.
