Hey guys since im pretty new here, just wandering if you see a pattern with New Telescopes and new users?

I guess the patterns are

Summer - Since its usually clear nice skies

Christmas - Presents etc

Just a general though really, since ive been here ive seen LOTS of new people arrive (including myself!)

some people of load the new stuff when they realize it doesn't get dark in summer till 12 and it ends up on ebay such a shame (but good for us we get more bargains! )

I usually pack my scopes away for the summer as it is about midnight by the time its really dark and the sun starts to rise at about 3AM. My scope would take about an hour to cool so that leaves 2 hrs of a dew-fest to compete with.

i only really use the mak and the bins in summer, both on the horizon mount so up and running and just a few mins.

summer time is a great time to clear those cards for winter though

I agree. I am a bins guy during the summer. The 20X90's on the 8115. Ready to go in seconds.
