Should you have to enter the time every time you switch it on? Mine always says 20:something is this right??

Yep, it doesn't keep correct time (or date) so enter correct time (and date) each time you switch on.

Hmmm yeah just read that the GPS add-on puts in the time, date and coordinates automatically. The official one is a rip off but apparently there is a chinese knock off that costs £20, that's more tempting lol.

Yes, it's a bit annoying having to keep entering the date and time, but it doesn't take long.

What annoys me most though, is that it insists on American date format, when most of the world uses a sensible format.

I don't suppose there's a version of the firmware with DD/MM/YYYY notation is there?

The hand set do not have a battery like a pc ,So you have to set it each time you use it. The Gps that you can get for them is good and save time seting up, But the down side like £100.
