Could have been very good last night

Clouded over as usual last night but popped out about midnight

to put the bins out and had a look round by eye.

There was a sizable hole in the cloud and through it, I could see most

of Cygnus and Lyra.

What made it special was the clarity of the stars, all the stars of Lyra

were bright and sparkly and the section of the milky way through the

hole was obvious.

It was reminiscent of the skies I had got used to when I first started the

hobby some five years back.

Really spectacular views which faded as the hole in the clouds closed up.

Trying to decide weather the sky was particularly good or weather the cloud

was stopping a lot of my local light pollution going up and the view through

the hole was contrast enhanced due to this.

Ah well, a view of what it could be like :D

I let the dog out the back last night before bed around 12 and I also was amazed at how bright the stars were.

Could have been a good night.

Oh well roll on winter.

It was a good night here last night, and quite a few over the last week, thinking about putting some of them on the buy and sell part of the forum, can't use them all my self, :nono: so some might be of use to others. Only problem, shipping could be a bit steep :D

naz
