Vixen npl 30mm eyecup very loose

My new Vixen npl 30mm's twist up eyecup seems rather on the loose side - once its twisted up the lightest touch and it twists back down, meaning I'm constantly twisting it back up again. Is this normal or should I take it back?

They do not feel robust, but this sounds too loose and much looser than mine, which I have had for perhaps three years.

The quality of the 30mm NPL does seem a bit loose on the twist up cap. It is really nothing to worry about. Its normal with this EP.

I would not be very happy with that, I rely on good twist-ups for helping with positive eye relief.

The 30mm NPL eyecup has a click-lock when fully twisted up so if yours is not locking into place then it is probably defective - you should contact your retailer to arrange an exchange.

Thanks didn't realise this. If any kind force is needed to lock it in place then perhaps I haven't been applying enough. Will check this evening and arrange a return/swap if necessary

I just reread this and i retract my earlier comment. The EP does indeed have a click-lock.
