pbyrne
Hi there everyone.I'm just dipping my toe into the astrophotography sea and currently I am staying at wide field tripod mounted images. The following image was taken from a site to the south of Dublin with a Canon 30D with an 18-75mm lens at 18mm, ISO 3200 and a 30 second exposure. The glow is a town to the south. The only post processing was a small amount of cropping and the removing of ugly telephone wires in Photoshop. All C&Cs are most welcome. Thanks for looking.Paul
LukeSkywatcher
Is that Bray lighting up the night sky?
pbyrne
No, Bray is back towards the north, it is most likely Wicklow Town.Paul

pbyrne
Thanks sanmatt.I took a 30 second image of the Auriga/Gemini region and I got all the Messier objects in both constellations along with M44, just goes to show what can be achieved with even a half minute exposure.Paul
