M57, M27 and light pollution

As I said elsewhere, an absolutely superb clear night all last night for once.

Still a virgin at DSos but managed to grab a reasonable shot of M57 with a hint of the central star.

Also tried M27 but I think the light pollution and light skies wre not ideal. At least I got it though, and it looked good through the eyepiece at least.

Need to do more work on my polar alignment and to this end will be getting one of those illuminated reticles. Too dark. too late to mess around with that at the moment, however.

Well done Geoff. The images are quite good mate, especially the Ring, nice indeed.

And, what's more important, you are helping to keep us less fortunates weather wise, in the land of the sane.

We need images, and lots of them, and quick, please.

Ron.

They are quite a rewarding results Geoff, for someone just 'getting to grips' with DSO imaging, and certainly very much better than my early efforts.

In fact any images at all, are infinitley better than my current images, which equate to a 'big fat zero', due to the weather and limited hours of darkness.

Keep em coming!!

Dave
