Saturn plan tonight....

At the moment clouds are there but there are large spaces between them, if this continues till 23.00 Im gonna try to get my scope out to get ready for midnight, saturn should then be high enough to be able to see above the houses.

Now my plan is to use the finder scope to point scope to saturn, use 25mm eyepiece to make sure I got the right blink blink in the sky and then turn to the 10mm EP. Would that be ok to at least make out it is saturn? Im surely will try to make some snapshots of it.

Hi, yes you should certainly be able to make out Saturn with 25mm EP! At the moment (where I am anyway) the moon is washing everything out a bit, but you should be ok.

Your lucky all ive got is liquid sunshine. Thats the same way i do my viewing it works a treat.

ITs nice and clear atm..........one problem though.........when I watch a random star with the scope all I can see it a clittery disc and can see spider legs and secondary mirror reflection (I think), meaning, bad collimation? Dont tell me I just spoiled my whole night of good viewing?

Nice and clear down here in Kent, stuck at work but Saturn quite nice and clear. Wish I was at home with my scope, boo. Its just not the same with bino's.

IT is a really nice night, not expected but my area is right between the clouds.

Im still waiting for saturn to pop up, hope I be lucky to get good image of it
