Impressive but even in mainland Europe you can hit high sky values. Where I live in SE France the Sky Qauality Metre gives 21.6 or 21.7 on the zenith. It doesn't compete with the Atacama on the horizons, of course, but you can get close to what's possible not too far from the UK.
