M51 first try....

My first attempt at this target...

Sat 3rd March

60 x 50 sec ISO 800

30 x Darks (needed to go to bed)

Was just a test really, but im quite chuffed with the result

Will try longer subs next time....

Its way better than my first M51:) I think like me you need flats, or is that gradient due to the Moon?

Great shot MM when the moon has gone to bed it will really help, I spent last night testing out my guiding set up M51 is a wonderful Galaxy.
