Good capture. My western horizon is not particularly good and I haven't managed to track down Mercury yet this apparition. Hopefully will get a chance in the next week.

Hi I just caught site of your location my family come from down where you are

have fond memories of the Itchen down at the bottom of my Grandparents garden. Nice photos I am currently in the process of getting the Orion StarShoot Solar System Color Imaging Camera IV so I can start taking some photos. Just been looking at Moon, mars and venus and jupiter tonight.

Well captured. Mercury is almost impossible for me since I moved. I always found more of a buzz finding Mercury than the other planets (although obviously Saturn and Jupiter are the best through the scope)

This is only about the fourth time in my life I've seen Mercury and one of those was during a total eclipse. I had to go to a field a few hundred yards from my house to get this shot as my house has trees to the SW through NW, making Mercury, and often Venus, normally impossible to see.
