It's very similar to the EQ5 & rated about 10kg - for less £'s you can get a new HEQ5 syntrek which takes up to 15kg. Remember you don't want to be using more than 50% of the rated payload on a mount when imaging.

Anyone recommend the iOptron Smartstar PR GoTo mount from Ian King Imaging?

Great spec on it for a bargain price! :D

Anyone got one they use for DSO astrophotography?

It's the PR Goto Autoguider mount £449. Says it can be used for a 25lb photographic payload or 35lb visual. Spec sounds really good on it. Have a look and see what you think John. Only trying to save a bit of money lol and won't need a huge payload for AP.

It's on Flo's website under Altair Astro, page 3 :D
