Just wondering what type of motor is used in the SW autofocus unit?

Assuming you're talking about the focuser motor drive, I believe it's some sort of stepper motor. Wouldn't surprise me if it's the same one they use for the EQ3-2 and EQ5 addon-motors, just swapping the gearbox in each case.

The "basic" SW Accura focus motor is just a small geared DC motor...probably 9V?

It takes 2 AA batteries, so 1.5V or 3V is more likely.

Hi - Managed to graft one of these onto my moonlight dual speed it works fine. Next step is the get the Hitecastro focus controller.
