gillipies
I'm wanting a decent hard case for my scope and related gizmos. I've looked at the Maplin flight cases that get pitched on here a lot but their not quite big enough. What I want to do is buy a decent tool-box and cut some foam to fit in it with slots cut out for the lenses etc. Question is - where to buy the foam? Looked in everywhere obvious but no joy, any ideas?Failing that, anyone know where I can buy a flight case or similar big enough to fit a 500mm long scope? Islander
Have you looked at Pelican (Peli) cases? They're not particularly cheap but they are very good. They're used a lot by professional photographers to protect expensive kit so should suit your needs.
paul schofield
I bought one on eBay a couple of days ago from a company called Clearvewe Education, 14 inch by 12 inch, quite small for my e.p's and bits. I put in flight cases as a search and hundreds came up in all sizes, so may be worth a look.
