NGC2174 Monkeyhead

Yesterday evening I succeeded in gathering some more h-alpha data for the monkeyhead with the TAK106. There was quite a disturbing moon, but with the 4,5nm filter it was still possible to photograph. Now I have 21x900s Ha and 2x900s OIII data. The OIII data needs a lot more, but for that the moon has to get less first (although I have a 3nm OIII filter, I prefer to have less moon). For this nebula I will gather more data later on, but for now I'm quite happy with the result.

The most interesting I've ever seen. Often in RGB or HaRGB there is a really hard edge to the nebula which I never feel can be right. This is more subtle and convincing.

Looking very good so far the detail is spot on. A few more subs to banish the last bit of noise and it will be superb

Excellent result...106 is a great piece of kit, beautifully sharp to the edges.
