Woolleson
Hi.I've just purchased a Philips PCVC680K webcam for my SW 150p, unfortunatly I run Vista on my laptop and cant find drivers to support it I now lots use the old CCD version cams so wondered how people get around this?Does anyone know how to get this specific model to work on Vista, or would running an older OS work?So wanted to go out and try my hand for my first image, so very miffed now Thanks in advanceJason
Merlin66
The older webcams like the 680k will run under winXP but nothing newer. You'd need to "upgrade" to the SPC900 to be able to use Vista/ Win7.
Cornelius Varley
If you can borrow/lend/steal a computer that runs XP it should be possible to flash the firmware to SPC900NC. There is also a dirty way of forcing a computer running Vista to install the drivers Vista ToUcam. At your own risk. The 680K uses the same sensor as the Toucam Pro range WEB-CAMERASPeter

Woolleson
No luck I'm afraid :0)Not sure if the flash works on my model, there were lots of bin files that didn't show that was on YouTube video. It didn't show up as a 900 on the pc afterwards. Just hope I haven't broke it !!So gave up and went on my first nebula hunt instead, which was far more productive........Might try it tomorrow, or throw it in the bin!
