imagemate or revelation barlow

revelation 5x barlow none in stock anywhere for at least 2 weeks, but i can get an imagemate 4x barlow tomorrow.:)

going to be used with the phillips spc.

gointg to have to make my mind up before i shoot off to work at 1.30.

i'm so tempted for the 4x as i can get it within a couple of days, would there be a noticable diff between 4 and 5? i wouldnt have thought there was.

there is the price diff of about £20, 5x being the cheaper.

Simply far more likely to get use out of the 4x than the 5x (rarely)! The imagemate is a cracking amplifier too!

just an update really, i ended up getting the 4x imagemate. havent had the chance to use it with the spc yet but i did try it on the moon with my baader zoom:eek: jees, though i was going to hit it.

I have the 5x Antares barlow... it doesn't get used very much as it's just so hard to get a decent result. I did use it on Jupiter with an SPC900 on my 80ED, but had to push the gain to the upper limits...
