Focal reducer for mak127

Could you recommend focal reducers for a mak127?

If you are thinking of Webcam use etc., then a standard, inexpensive, "Atik" screwed onto the camera nose-piece. If you're looking for dramatically increased VISUAL fields, you're perhaps out of luck. A modest (fairly useful!) increase in maximum true field on Skymax Maks can be achieved by using a 2" diagonal /eyepieces (via adapter) etc. For really large fields, a smaller focal length (achromat refractor etc.) is usually needed.

Personally I would go the other way and use a barlow lens to improve the imaging resolution. If you use a focal reducer the resolustion drops and the image quality drops.

What I was trying to achieve is getting a greater FOV. Is that not a good idea then, such a focal reducer in a mak?

You get a greater FOV at the expense of resolution. You see a bigger field with reduced detail.
