Jupiter animation 3 moons Jan 14th 2012

[Space Cowboy]

Phew! Finally finished this animation spread over 3 hours on Jan 14th. First we see Granymede moving in behind Jupiter followed by transit of Europa then Io also disappears behind Jup before finally Granymede reappears from behind the Planet.

Starts 5-41pm and ends 8-41pm. 27 avis in all. With out doubt the most consistent seeing I've ever had over such a long period!

Uploaded to Youtube and Flickr which has sadly knocked the quality somewhat.

Attached a zip file containing windows media player file (very small) better quality though still affected by compression.

Is it possible to load the bmps into vdub to produce a avi sequence?

Very nice indeed, in particular bearing in mind the diminishing size of the Jupiter. How did you stabilise the Dob? Some Fov rotation is visible a bit...
