M81 - First guided image

Hi Everyone.

I'm getting to grips with the auto guider Santa left me for Christmas and have been trying imaging M81 as my first guided target. Initially I was using a CLS filter for the first two night's attemps but couldn't get a decent looking image due to noise so decided to dump those subs and start again this time without the filter.....

7hrs 15 min total exposure time in 5 min subs, darks and flats applied. Taken with un-modded 500D though C9.25 @ f6.3....

Hope you like it.

Simon

Very well done simon on your first guided image, the detail in m81 is superb. is your cls the ccd eos clip in type? they do give off a blue colour cast but that is easily dealt with in ps. I find they work best on nebulae but a good all round filter. anyway great image.
