NGC 1664 - Kite Cluster in 12"

The Kronenbourg...err I mean Kite Cluster :D in Auriga sketched over a couple of nights either side of the New Year. Managed to record about 30 stars on December 28, with the rest following on Sat 14 January. As I said on the Deep Sky Observing thread, my impression of the cluster shape was more anchor-like than kite-like. Someone has also said to me that it looks like a jellyfish (!)

Thanks for the comments. I enjoyed sketching this one.

Eddie, that capture is great. I always like to see comparisons like that, and its good to see the others stars I missed because they were too faint for my eyes. Thanks for that :D
