Is it saturn?

Using stellarium I looked through my scope to see if I could find saturn and when I put my it to where the planet was meant to be (2 points of light beneath artucus) and I just got stars

Is this because its getting too bright with the sunrise or do I just have too small a scope?

I was fine looking at mars btw

You should be able to see the rings with a 130 scope. Saturn is the object on the left. A bit earlier/darker would probably be better.

I'm using the same scope as you but with only the 2 standard ep's and i can see the rings.

Keep looking, you won't be dissapointed!

looking SE early morning there are 2 obvious "stars" next to each other - Saturn is the one on the left.

Saturn is near the bright star Spica in Virgo. I think Arcturus is a bit far away as a guider.

You should be able to see the rings and Titan at the very least. Saturn is far more impressive than Mars and is not a problem with your scope.

I'm using a 3.5" mak and can see the rings so you should be able to.

Well I was looking in the SE direction and this morning (when I posted this) but nothing seemed to come up, and Artucus was the only bright star at the time but I reckon it might be due to light

Yeah like stated to the east there are really only two very distinguished stars next to each other with Saturn being the one on the left...basically it is left and ever so slightly lower unless it's position has changed in a month. A month a ago when it was coming up much later than it is now I was clearly able to see the rings in a 10 mm ep supplied with my 70mm reflector...a very beginner altaz scope and it looked amazing...even with the sun slightly over the horizon I was able to pick it out still...keep trying you will find her and get a great view. Note, look more ESE than SE imo.
