what tripod can be used with skywatcher heritage

My son has had a dob for xmas, a skywatcher heritage. can we use a tripod with this and what type, cant seem to work it out. many thanks

I think it's designed to sit on a firm table top or similar. I guess you could find a way to fix a tripod to the base but it's not designed to be used with one.

You could also make something - as long as it is solid and reasonably level it should work fine.

People usually stand the small dobs on a small table.

Stand it on a patio/picnic table or a stool to use it. It is an excellent scope BTW. It can be used on the floor kneeling down but that's not very comfy.

It you wished to use a tripod then a skywatcher az4 or az goto work perfectly and fit straight out the box

If you put some rings on it and a dovetail plate it will fit any tripod you like

it should fit on an eq2 and above it is fairly light

thanks for replys, probably pick up a little fold up table thats portable enough to take out and about.

just make sure it's not too wobbly or at high magnification it might drive you nuts, especially if it's not on level ground.
