Orion 120 ST/Skywatcher 120 ST

I have been quoted £260 for the Orion as a plain tube but have seen the Skywatcher with an AZ3 for in and a round the same price...are they the same scope?

Are there any ED's out there in ST at 120mm?

A 120mm Ed would cost at least a grand, just for the OTA and you might not get the short focal length, these star travels are pretty good scopes for deep sky, i have the st 150 and its a great bit of kit

Orion (USA) is simply overpriced in the UK as it's imported from the US, although it's actually made in the far east, whereas Skywatcher comes directly from the far east and so the costs are a lot lower. That's why there can be such a big price difference for what can be the same scope under a different brand name.
