Trade in for Ethos

Some good feedback there, especially your comments on the Ethos attributes of sharpness and contrast. There is much more to this design than the immense field of view - it really does compete with the best specialist planetary eyepieces on those other areas as well.

Wont be long now

the siren song will have already started

mine was the 13mm first after I stupidly looked through Lynn's at Derwent (I knew I should not have looked through it)

it was not long before it had brothers and sisters

Until you have looked through one and seen how sharp and immense the view is you do not know what all the hype is about.

Agreed. At first I never thought I'd spring that much cash for a single ep. Then I got bitten by the Ethos bug and decided to just get the 17mm. I thought I'd just get that one, then fill the other focal lengths with something much cheaper. After using it for the first time that plan went out the window - I want a 10mm as well now. And seeing a whole Moon through a 6mm at 166x sounds pretty nice too :(
