What's the difference between my two 10mm eyepieces?

I have a large looking 10mm X-Cel Celestron and a puny looking 10mm that came with the Skywatcher ST80 telescope. So what's the actual difference? Why the difference in size, and how does it affect the image?

The X-Cel has a slightly larger field of view and more eye relief than the standard issue 10mm. Optically the X-Cel should show improvements as it's a better quality eyepiece. In terms of magnification, they are both the same.

The X-Cel is bigger as there is a barlow lens incorporated into it. This allows for better eye relief and larger eye lens over the standard SW plossl.

Look through them at some representative targets - Jupiter, the Moon, a couple of nebulas and tight clusters? If you can't see a difference, there is no difference.
