EQ2 Question?.

Hi all, I have just started using my new Sky watcher evostar 90 and I have slight niggling concern about my EQ2 mount and not sure whether its a fault or not?. I am a newbie ad getting on really well with my scope, but what I have noticed is when the DEC is locked I can still slightly move the scope in this direction but it springs back to its original position, it does not affect the slow motion control in any way. I contacted my dealer and was told its fine its back lash and you must expect this with a budget mount. I'm just wondering is this correct?.

As above, it's not a fault at all

It's certainly not a fault, just annoying really, as you get into astronomy, you may like to consider getting a stronger/better mount later.
