The Sun Today 30/11/11

Superb prominences today, well worth a look if you have a Ha scope.

Currently observing from Tenerife where the high Sun, excellent transparency and air steadyness makes a humble PST seem like a high end double stack unit! I also have a 80mm PST mod here but have to wait untill past 11.00am for the Sun to clear the rooftop.

Thank you Peter for the 'heads up'. I had my PST set up on my desk so I have now gone outside.

As you say 'superb' - there are some interesting filaments as well.
