Digital Angle Gauges

Recommended Posts

I wouldn't bother with the old type Wixey gauge that's available from some astro dealers. This new one makes it obsolete.

Bought one a little while ago and it has so many advantages. It has built in level as well as an angle gauge so you don't need a separate spirit level. Also has a flip-up display. Very pleased with mine. ;)

What do you mean? Surely you need to calibrate it with a spirit level at some point.

No, it's also a "spirt level" with a digital read out. No need for a seperate level. ;) You would need some light to read the dispaly.

From the manual:

Dead Level TM refers to absolute level with respect to the center of the earth. This is what is shown with a tradition bubble level when the bubble is in the exact center of the vial. Our Dead Level TM technology consists of a permanently calibrated level setting which is always being displayed by both the bubble level icon and the small digital angle reading in the upper right corner of the display.
