M42 this year vs last year

Well considering conditions were far from good last night the overall improvement is very pleasing, I cant wait for a good night now.

Fist image is this year with a QHY8L ( do think the black is a touch to dark however )

I like them both. The colours of last year with the quality and contrast of this year would be perfection. That said, i also rather like the firey oranges of this years
