Imagemate 4x Barlow?

I can't afford a Televue so would this be OK? I'd be using it with a Canon EOS 40D DSLR or a Phillips SPC900NC Webcam on a SW 200P scope:

Personally I wouldnt use any of the higher powered barlows or imagemates with a DLSR...

4000mm FL imaging can be quite "challenging"...

If its for Planetary imaging then it will work fine especially for Jupiter.

It's after I put that I'd be using it with my DSLR that I remembered I wouldn't! It's just for my Webcam.

Should be fine if a little trick at times with the webcam and work with the QHY5V as well for planeary and lunar...

You will want steady seeing to be using the x4... You would get more use out of a lower powered one and "learn" how to get the most from it before ramping up the power... thats just my opinion mind...

Good advice about the lower power first. I used the 2x with more success than I expected, and I'm always so enthusiastic I'm somewhat impatient to be moving forward, but if I don't succeed first time I'll know it's that I'm still inexperienced, or just unlucky! I never give up.

Ah ok if you have the x2 already then go for it .. and use either depending on the conditions...
