where's saturn !

Hi, anyone help me with when and where I will be able to see saturn. Any help much appreciated. Lee.

Not around at the moment im afraid. Towards the end of the month it will rise just before sunrise in the east. Mid november you will have to be up very early too see.

Download Stelarium stelarium.com that will give you the best insight, you can search for saturn and then fast foward to see when is best.

Not visible at the moment I'm afraid. It will start to rise early in the morning november december time and should be visible at a decent sort of time and at it's brightest around April next year. You will be able to catch it earlier next year if you get up in the small hours!

Certainly would recommend downloading Stellarium for questions like these and it also helps you work out on your observing night, where a particular object might be given the usual visual obstructions like trees and buildings that we often see whilst viewing from our back gardens.

I believe it wont be visible until next month (nov) even then you would have to get up early in the morning to catch it.

thanks for your replies, have got Stellarium but have to admit I have'nt had much time to really use it properly yet ! I'll put it top of my to do list.
