Whats the next logical upgrade from my MK-66

I am loving my mk-66 for now but am thinking of upgrading sometime next year and wanted to get some ideas on what i should be saving for. i have thought about the celestron 9.25 or a large long focal length refractor.

budget around £1200-1500 - mount

what would you go for ?

Check out the current offer at FLO for the C11 OTA on a CG-5 mount. Mount probably a bit lightweight for photography but a great visual set up and outstanding value for money IMHO.

The MK-66 is going to be a tough act to follow you know !

Depends what you are looking to gain from your upgrade I guess. I reckon you would have to spend masses and go huge if you go down the refractor route so I guess it's either a larger mak / SCT or possibly a long focus newtonian ?.

What gains are your particularly looking for ?

i would like to see some more deep sky and mostly more resolution on the planets. ideally i would like an 8"/10" mak but for i don't think id be able to afford one that size in even 5 years
