blinky
I struggled with my M45 taken last week as it had what I thought was terrible gradient which I thought was light pollution..... until today Turns out M45 as well as being primarily a reflection nebula also has a small amount of emmision nebulosity as well - as seen here: M45 (See the details at the bottom of the image). So, I went and redid my image without trying to remove the gradient (Although I did knock back the red levels a little). What do you folks think?
