SW pier enquiry?

I'm looking at getting a pier mount for my EQ5 Pro to use in my planned observatory. The two listed are for HEQ5 & EQ6, will my EQ5 be able to use the HEQ5 pier, are the bases the same please?

The EQ5/HEQ5 base plates are the same.

I have just upgraded my EQ5 to a HEQ5 on my pier mount.

I have not got a SW pier mount...

I have a concrete/Sewer pipe pier with one of Gary1968 pier adaptor's

But I know the EQ5/HEQ5 fittings are the same.

some good info in the video link.

Was it just an AE sales pitch in conjunction with The A&N Center or was it all to be taken as gospel? it has got me thinking that maybe the Pier tech 2 is not the best suited piece of equipment.
