Need help putting Altitude scale back on

I had to remove my altitude scale and the celestron logo so that I could remove the base of my mount to remove the horribly bent bolt which got jammed and I'm curious as to how I'm meant to know what position the latitude scale is to be stuck back on? The only way I can think of doing it is polar aligning and then sticking it back at 53 degrees. Any other suggestions?

No, that's the best way to do it, they are never that accurate anyway!!

I agree with Freddie - you'll nearly allways have to adjust alt and az when polar aligning the mount - the scales are usually just a very close approximation

(the logo can be any way up lol)
