Hi there,

Last week finally brought some summer in autumn :( and with 4 clear nights predicted in a row spanning a weekend I had to get my gear out and dust it off. Started imaging on wednesday and continiud until saturday night. Shot 6 objects in total, but I think I'll not waste time on processing M45 and IC405 as they were probably ruined by the very, very moist conditions. In fact it was so wet that my DIY TEC controler went haywire and started recording unreal temperatures coming close to boiling point even with the camera not in use and powered down, so no cooling this time :). In the end, letting the TEC controler dry in the sunday afternoon sun resolved the issue, now I have to make myself som sort of dew prevention for the TEC controler. And I thought dew on the sensor due to the peltier cooling would be the major issue :).

Well back to the data. In short conditions were far from perfect with all that moist, and it even distorted the use of my flats somewhat, but in the end I am happy to haven been out there again a last.

Night from/to:

September 28/29 M33 3 hrs 20 mins

September 29/30 IC1396 (in processing)

September 30/October 1 NGC891 3 hrs and M45 (discarded due to massive halos)

October 1/2 NGC281 3 hrs and IC405 (also discarded due to moist issues in the frames)

Further details are below each picture.
