NGC281 Pacman Nebula

300911. 17x600, QSI 583ws, 7nm ha, 0.85fr, Captured with Astroart, stacked with DSS, guided with SXM7/PHD.

Had a problem with last couple of images with mis shapen stars. Finally found that the mount had gone out of polar alignment, on the pier. Was going to go back to knitting, if this image was the same!!

Holy Moly, Fay, how crisp is that? Look at that dust lane (which I call the Earwig...) I remember doing this one with Jim while you were here but if I'd have seen this one I'd have run for cover. Brilliant. This won't be beaten in the forseeable...

Great image Fay, I've started on this one myself! there's a lot of subtle detail going on in this nebula that people can often overlook! Will you be adding any cooler to this?

Please don't go back to knitting....it's just not as cool and down with the kids as "Astro Photography" unless of course you would like to knit me a squid shaped hat for winter

Wow some nice detail in.... OK, Olly's earwig... there's a reasonable amount of OIII to be had in the Pacman and some SII but be prepared to put in a lot of time on the SII!
