Blimey.. Some nice weather for a change

I'm sure everyone has been outside with their scopes this week with the lovely weather we are having. (I certainly have).

Finally given me the opportunity to get some serious viewing in and getting to grips with selection of different lenses for various needs. There is certainly no substitute for getting your hands dirty.

I am fortunate to have an East facing garden with no other buildings nearby, so I have a good clear view of a huge portion of the sky. Even fitted my LPF that I bought ages ago. Very suprised how good it is. Not that I live in a hugely light polluted area, but the spectre of the dreaded sodium lights is never far away unless you are lucky enough to live in a very remote place.

Well pleased with the views of Jupiter and it's moons tonight.

And the weather forecasters say that it is going to be nice for the remainder of the week.

Bring it on!!!!!
