Not a total waste.

I had originally left the scope set up outside on Sunday night to do some Jupiter imaging early Monday morning, however got up at 2am and it was cloudy, got up at 4am and it was cloudy but left the scope out just in case. Got up at 7am on Monday and saw the Moon was nice and high so grabbed my Canon 1000D and took a few pics.

This was the best one and despite lacking a bit of contrast i am quite happy with it, not least as it meant my leaving the scope out was not totally wasted.

It is really tricky getting good contrast on a daylight Moon - well done oldfruit.

A very nice picture, ive had a week of cloud now, I'm glad someone can see out.

"Awww, you CAN'T see the moon in the daylight! ! ! " That is what an Elementary School teacher once told my son ! ( Believe it , or not ! )
