just want to find out before i go spending more money

For all I wrote lots of rubbish answering his question, according to the other posters it seems to work by reflashing. However, only at the HEQ5 syntrek as the classic version has completely different motors.

Best thing to contact the folks there in the thread as there is some experience about I do not have.

As mentioned elsewhere the Synscan handcontroller has to be a V3 firmware...V2 can't be upgraded

cheers had a look on the thread and i think ive just saved some money as i'm sure it is v3 firmware

You will meed to reflash the handset with the EQ firmware before you can use it with the Syntrek mount and you will also need a new handset to mount cable.
