How to image Jupiter larger?

Hello again:

I would like to thank all the SGL members for all the great advice. Being new to astroimaging it would be a very daunting task without you!

I am wondering about a couple more things...If I use my Powermate 2.5x and place a Barlow (with lens removed) in front of it, could that be considered extending the tube and would the image be larger?

Also, if I use a uv/ir cut filter in my DBK21, would there be any improvement imaging Jupiter if I also added any filters?

If so, which filters? I do have a Celestron filter kit.

Thank you again!!! icon7.gif

With most barlows the distance between the lens and the imaging chip does affect the increase/decrease in image scale.

But I am certain that this ISN'T the case with the power mates.

I will try and find the thread, but it was a while ago now.

Cheers

Ant
