Power requirements from a SX H9

As the title really...

I would like to run the H9 directly from a 12 supply preferably without the transformer that comes with the camera?

Is that possible if so, what's the camera power requirements.

I've done something similar with my big H36, after checking with Terry first. What is the requirements on the transformer, the H36 takes aboout 600mA @ 12v so not a great drain on the battery. I've set up a small distribution box for the electrics on the mount with a precautionary fuse on each line.
