So I had a play with the images that I had managed to capture and mentioned here

And tweaked the Histo,Contrast,brightness and Waveletted (poss too much) the JPG in RS6 to get this. Still not happy with it but I think i have to accept that this is as good as its going to get the overexposure can not be processed out, that said i quiet like some of the details that's come out of it and it is a single shot of the moon with mosaic.

It looks nice and focussed - but it may look better if you back off the contrast and stretching because it looks like you've lost your mid-tones.

Thanks Steve, I know what you're saying but my PS skills aren't getting me their :-( but I am sure to come across something in the many online tutorials that will eventually click

This is the untouched jpg that the QHY/Neb2 produced on the night as you can see well over exposed and as my previous post probably why they dont recommend the QHY for Planetary.
