Have just heard that a new comet 2007 E1 (Garradd) discovered by Gordon Garradd in Australia should come into range for UK observers in early April, when it may be around 13th magnitude.

This comet was discovered by photgaphic survey using just a Canon camera and telephoto lens.

Judging by it's current orbit ephemerides it's orbit is very highly inclined meaning it's literally moving from South to North in relation to Earth. It seems to reach closest approach just as it reaches the celestial equator so visible in the Northern Hemisphere by then.

As for where it will be in the sky, like steve says, we need to wait for more info

Cheers

Matt
